Captured Wildlife Disposition Rules
Under the NWCO operating rules, captured live nuisance wildlife generally must be dispatched humanely or released within 24 hours.
Under the NWCO operating rules, rabies vector species are subject to the euthanasia rather than release requirement, including the separate special rule governing the destruction or euthanasia of five or more bats at one location.
